Fabric and Tile Samples

Guess which fabric is $350/yard.

(it's not the pig butt)

Also, I love them all. Thank goodness Lauren gave me her preferences, otherwise, I wouldn't be able to decide. The Goodform chairs will look great.

On a similar note, I have more Goodform chairs.  I just need one semi-upholstered Goodform armchair to make my collection complete.

Medicine Cabinet Restore

I had to destroy one of them to get the mirror out.

1961

looks like I have to replace the mirror, although it's not in terrible shape for being 50 years old.

5th purchase for the house

Gloria and I went to Second Chance in B'more to look for anything that would go in the house: sitting chairs, couches, sideboards to turn into vanities, dining chairs, lighting, etc.

Our first go around the warehouses netted a nice green velvet couch, for a steal. It needed a little cosmetic help, but that's it. Since we had 3 other places to go, I decided to leave it and come back for it. 120 minutes later, we return to find a red tag on it. It was sold.

Dejected, I moped around the store, looking for something to buy to lift my spirits (I have a problem with that). Gloria spotted this perfectly sized, newly reupholstered sitting chair. This chair is the exact style I was looking for: wood arms, lightly upholstered, good details.

Sold!

I love the double piping and the colorful plaid. It definitely isn't the pattern I expected to find, but I think it will do wonderfully in the house.
